Glacial Lakes State Trail Update for 6-12-17
The asphalt on the trail from Willmar to Spicer was removed in preparation for the asphalt relay scheduled in July. Users on this section of the trail should expect to travel on a loose dirt trail.
The trail project includes asphalt trail improvements, grading and shoulder work, culvert replacement and new benches. After early June, trail users can expect a natural surface until it is repaved and the project will be finished by late August. Construction starts in Willmar toward Spicer. You may not be able to travel all the way from Willmar to Spicer during construction. Please obey the closure signs and avoid construction equipment.
