Fishing Report for 8-9-16
As we approach the dog days of summer, fewer people are out fishing. Those that venture out are catching some nice sized sunfish, bass and northern pike on Eagle Lake, Diamond Lake, Green Lake and Lake Florida. Stick near the weed line and flats for the best action. Anglers are having a tougher time catching crappie though. Walleye are being pulled from Diamond Lake and Green Lake by anglers trolling lead core or crank baits (like Shad Raps & Salmos) during the early morning hours or in the evening. Now is a great time to stock up on all your fishing supplies at our local bait shops as they usually have great deals during the dog days of summer!
