Fishing Report for 8-22-17

The fish are biting in the Willmar Lakes Area! Although there aren’t as many anglers out this late in the summer, it makes for a peaceful fishing trip. When shore fishing, stick near moving water such as the culverts and where the creeks flow into the lakes. Ringo Lake, Willmar Lake and Foot Lake are the best for shore fishing. When looking for walleye, the best bite can be found in the deeper waters on Green Lake, Willmar Lake and Foot Lake in the early morning and evening hours. Pan fish have been active on Eagle Lake, Lake Florida, Lake Andrew and Games Lake. As the temperatures cool, the fish should become more active and move into their fall patterns.
