Fishing Report for 7-12-16

The fish in the Willmar Lakes Area are in their summer patterns now with the warmer temperatures. The walleye are still being pulled from Wagonga Lake, Big Kandiyohi Lake, South Long Lake, Eagle Lake, Diamond Lake and Green Lake. Stick to the early morning time slot and you’re sure to catch some walleye in the 30-40 foot range on Green Lake and 15-20 foot range on Diamond and Eagle lakes. Northern pike, bass and panfish remain active on many area lakes, especially Nest Lake. The key is to remain versatile and be willing to try a variety of bait and tackle until you find the presentation that works best. It looks to be another great weekend for weather in the Willmar Lakes Area so come on out and catch some fish!
