Fishing Report for 4-23-19

Almost all of the area lakes are free of ice; only Green Lake still has some on it. A lot of active panfish are being found near the bay on Elkhorn Lake, by the culvert and race track on Foot Lake, and under the bridge and near the bay on Nest Lake. Look for sunfish and crappie in five feet of water or less. Most species of fish are almost ready to spawn or have just started. Stock up on leeches at J & J Bait & Tackle before heading out on your next fishing adventure!
