Fishing Report for 1-17-17
This gorgeous week of weather has brought many anglers to the Willmar Lakes Area. The most popular lakes were Norway Lake, Nest Lake and South Long Lake for crappies and Green Lake for sunfish, crappies and walleye. Kandiyohi County has turned on aeration systems for those lakes that have them as of noon on 1/17/17 so watch out for open water around those areas. Most lakes are averaging 14-16 inches of ice with some reports thicker than that. Be sure to check the ice often as it can be varied in different parts of the lakes.
