Fishing Report for 5-31-16

We had another awesome weekend of fishing in the Willmar Lakes Area! The bass, sunfish, crappie and Northern pike were biting just about everywhere. Especially on Lake Florida, Lake Andrew and Diamond Lake. The bass, Northern pike and walleye were also being caught off the docks as the fish are moving toward the shallows. Just grab a bottom bouncer and a spinner with a crawler and you’ll be able to catch some fish. The water temperatures are right around the 65 degree mark for most area lakes. The most active lakes for walleye over the weekend were Long Lake, Solomon Lake and Ringo Lake. The lakes to keep an eye on this next week would be Eagle Lake, Nest Lake and Green Lake as they should start warming up as well and the bite should become more active.
