The fishing in the Willmar Lakes Area is still very active! Walleyes have been hot on the bigger lakes, such as Green Lake, Eagle Lake, Lake Florida and Lake Andrew. A few pan fish are being caught as well, but they still seem to be in hiding. Ice conditions have made it a little more difficult to fish. With the cooler temperatures we have had the last couple of days, the ice has built up a little more. Most lakes have about 8 – 12 inches of ice, but most of them also have heaves and open water. Continue to be very cautious on the lakes. Find out about ice conditions before you head out! Have fun and be safe!
