Photographer Gregory Harp will give a presentation on the Kandiyohi County Historical Society’s project, Sacred Places in Kandiyohi County. This presentation will include a look at the photographs he has taken and how he creates each image.
KCHS is currently working on a project to document all the churches of the county, past as well as present, in two phases. Phase One is to photograph a cross section of churches from across the county resulting in a gallery show at the museum in spring of 2016. This activity is made possible in part by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the SW Minnesota Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
Phase Two is to photograph and document all the churches, past as well as present, of Kandiyohi County resulting in a book to be published for the county’s 150th Anniversary Celebration in 2020.
