Earth Day Celebration
A fun and educational experience for the whole family! Booths, exhibits and activities offer information about water quality, energy efficiency, land management, and much more. The Annual Earth Day event at PWELC is a collaborative effort of PWELC, Middle Fork Crow River Watershed, North Fork Crow River Watershed, CROW, MPCA, Kandiyohi County SWCD, dozens of volunteers and over thirty exhibitors.

Pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 am – 10 am. (free will donation)

Then check out the various exhibits for advice on how to “green” your life. Many hands-on learning activities including nature Art by Demo, Inc., Little Crow Anglers Minnow Races & Casting Practice, Master Gardeners, Sibley State Park Naturalist Pond Study, DNR Fish Tank & Laser Shot & Much More!!

The 2018 theme: Insects and your Food
Keynote presentation: 10am Bruce the Bug Guy

This year we will have free nitrate testing by the MN Soil & Water District. Please bring a sample of your tap water in a clean, glass jar for testing.

Enjoy food, entertainment, kid activities and information about “greening” your life. Visit w/ local watershed groups and natural resource professionals.
Free trees, live hawk, DNR fish tank, Indoor climbing wall, nature scavenger hunt, water quality info, ag. best management practices, DNR Laser Shot & more.

No pre-registration necessary.
