20th Annual Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee!
This event has been moved indoors to Kennedy Elementary due to the rain forecast.
 Saturday, September 16, 2017

This is the 20th year for our festival so we plan to make it extra special. We will be hosting a reception Friday evening, Sept 15, honoring past poster and raffle artists. The public is encouraged to attend.

We are offering several new things this year in honor of our 20th anniversary – we have a beautiful tote bag with our new logo for the first 1,500 people to come.  We have four filled bags we will give as door prizes – a bag for kids, for college students, a health and wellness bag and a general bag.  They are filled with hundreds of dollars of goodies.  We are also offering a free photo booth in Bethel’s lobby so you can take a picture home.  We are also offering a chance to win $100 simply by posting a selfie you take that day to Twitter or Instagram.  All this in addition to our usual fine offerings.  Don’t miss it!

In addition to the entertainment, the festival will feature a juried art show and sale, artists’ demonstrations, free hands-on make and take activities for kids both big and small, a food court, and, of course, free coffee all day! In case of rain all activities will be moved to Kennedy School. (Kennedy Elementary School: 824 7th St SW, Willmar)

This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the SW MN Arts & Humanities Council through an appropriation from the MN State Legislature with money from the state’s general fund.

This activity is also funded in part by a grant from the Willmar Area Community Foundation and our sponsors.

Free coffee will be available all day!
Again this year there will be free coffee available at the Coffee Cafe all day!

Hands on Art Activities:
In keeping with the tradition of having something for all ages, we will be having a tent of “make-n-take” art activities for kids both big and small.

Raffle Art:
This year’s poster artist is Shalese Sands.
Raffle tickets are $2.00 each and are available at the Arts Council booth and information booth the day of the festival. Prior to the festival, tickets are available from committee members and at the Arts Council office. The drawing for the art will take place the day of the festival on the Java Jam stage at 3:50 pm. You need not be present to win.
