The Resource Center Program is an outreach initiative of West Central Industries that was started ten years ago by parents working in the medical and disability fields raising a child with a disability. They saw the unmet need in our area—the gaps between medical appointments, therapy, school and social services. Today, we provide free parenting meetings in four counties, sensory-friendly family events, peer social skill clubs, workshops, weighted blankets and mini grants along with information and support by caring professionals.
ABOUT “BOYS NEXT DOOR”
Written by Tom Griffin this Comedy/Drama is about four roommates with intellectually disabilities living together in a small apartment — and Jack, the caring social worker who is on the verge of career burn-out. Funny and heartwarming, “The Boys Next Door” provides audiences a candid look into the lives of an overlooked population and those who serve them.
