The Kandiyohi County Historical Society will be hosting an art exhibit by Bill Oakleaf in the Community Room June 21, 2018-August 31, 2018.

We will be hosting a artist reception on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 4pm-6pm. In the display, the artwork will span his entire life, starting with his first oil painting at the age of 12. He has practiced many different art mediums and a variety of those will be on display. Bill Oakleaf graduated from Willmar High School in 1951. He enlisted in the Navy and served during the Korean War. He became an aviation photographer and also did artwork and animation for armed forces training films. He moved back to Willmar. He started a program at the Willmar Community College in technical art and illustration where he taught for 21 years. Since his retirement, Bill continues to work on art projects.
