Should you decide to stay for a week or a lifetime there's always something new to discover in the
The Village Children’s Museum is a newly created non-profit corporation with the mission to bring a cultural, academic, and physical form of activity to the Willmar Lakes Area.
There will be interactive displays that touch on each one of their target areas: science, language, mathematics, art, geography, politics, music, physical activity and history. Some of the displays will be permanent, while others will be replaced on a regular cycle.
Spring has finally arrived! Looking for ways to get out and enjoy these beautiful spring days? Then check out our blog post on 5 Ways to Enjoy Spring in the Willmar Lakes Area.
We also suggest taking in some of the great springtime fishing in our area (as soon as the ice melts off of the lakes). Call one of our local bait shops for the most updated lake conditions.
Biking is another great way to enjoy the outdoors with the whole family. Check out the newly renovated Glacial Lakes State Trail from Willmar to Spicer or the beautiful trail around Eagle Lake. If you have young ones, stick near the trails around Robbins Island & take in our awesome Destination Playground!
Can you help with the 2018 MN Governor’s Fishing Opener?
An event of this size needs a lot of volunteers. We’ll need
volunteers to help plan, to be fishing hosts and
to help at each of the different activities.
Events take place starting
Thursday, May 10th and run through Saturday, May 12th.
